- Version of the tablet can be identified by S/N:*********** ver 1 or ver 2 at the back panel of the device.
- Charge your device to 75% or more before you start to prevent unwanted shutdowns.
- As always, backup everything you feel is important just in case.

ROOTING : Karbonn Smart Tab 8 Velox : Version 1 & 2
Process is same for both version just Rooting file is different.(Do NOT MIX UP FILES)
- Go to Settings > Development Options > check USB Debugging.
- Again Go to settings > Security and check Unknown Sources to install Apps from third party.
- For Version 1 : Download Crystal_Root.zip
For Version 2 : Download utoo-root.zip and transfer it to your tablet's external sd card. (do NOT extract it). - Power off the tablet.
- After the tablet completely shuts down, press the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously till the Karbonn logo appears.
- You will boot into stock recovery. Press Volume Up and Down to scroll, while the Power button will select the highlighted item.
- Scroll to and select Apply update from EXT/sdcard.
Then browse to the location of the
Crystal_root.zip for Version 1 &
utoo-root.zip for Version 2
file and select it. - The flashing process will start and complete within a minute.
- Go back to the main menu and select Reboot system now.
BOOM..!!
Your Tab is Successfully Rooted..!! :D - Rooted Android device Verification:
- Look for Superuser or SuperSU app in your app drawer or
- Download Root Checker from here
